David Gardiner Physiotherapist

David Gardiner owns and runs Naas Physiotherapy Cinic. In 1997 David completed a four year degree in Physiotherapy at Trinity College Dublin. Following that he went on to do a full time Masters in Sports Medicine under Professor Moira O’ Brien, again at Trinity College. David subsequently joined Naas Physiotherapy Clinic and in 2000 he took over the clinic. David also has a physiotherapy clinic in Blessington, Co. Wicklow and now lectures on the master course at Trinity College. His special interests are Practical Orthopaedic Medicine and Foot Biomechanics and Orthotic Prescription.

Caitlin Gardiner qualified with a Bachelor of Science: Physiotherapy in 1997 from Trinity College Dublin. Her hospital experience from the Mater Misercordiae Hospital Dublin and Tallaght Hospital Dublin covered a wide number of specialties including Orthopaedic In/Out patients. Caitlin has worked in a number of private practices in Dublin and joined Naas Physiotherapy Clinic in 2001. Her special interests include Chronic Low Back Pain and Core Stability. Caitlin has qualified as a Stott Pilates Instructor.

Caroline Woods - Chartered Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) Physio, MSc (Sports Med), M.I.S.C.P., M.C.S.P., M.A.C.P.

Caroline graduated with a Physiotherapy Honours degree from the University of Ulster in 1998 and then completed her Masters in Sports Medicine at Trinity College Dublin. Since then she has worked with a variety of sporting organisations including Manchester United FC, Bristol City FC and The British Olympic Association. She is currently the Northern Ireland Soccer Under 19 and Under 21 Team Physiotherapist. She attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Manual Therapy from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2006 and is a member of both the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Caroline has had 3 published research articles in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

Kishan graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2004. He worked at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital (the biggest hospital in the world) in areas such as Paediatric & Neonatal ICU, Adult Neurology, Orthopaedics and Out Patients. Kishan has been awarded post-graduate qualification in Paediatric Cerebral Palsy, Manual Therapy, Dry Needling (acupuncture) and Stott Pilates.
Kishan has joined Naas Physiotherapy in 2008 and is now both treating patients and teaching pilates.

Laura Ward ~ Chartered Physiotherapist & Stott Pilates Instructor
B.Sc(Hons)., M.I.S.C.P., M.C.S.P.

Laura Ward graduated with a physiotherapy honours degree from Brunel University in 2006. Her experience includes general medical in Mullingar Hospital, before starting in private practice where she has been working for the past four years. Her interests include sports injuries, women’s health and core stability. Laura has completed post graduate courses in dry needling and is a STOTT Pilates instructor. Laura has worked with a number of GAA and Rugby teams. Laura joined the team at Naas Physiotherapy Clinic in May 2010.

Eimear Hoare ~ Chartered Physiotherapist
B.Sc(Hons) Anatomy, B.Sc(Hons)Physio., M.I.S.C.P., M.C.S.P.

Eimear is a fully qualified and licenced Chartered Physiotherapist. She obtained her degree from Kings College London, after studying Anatomy in NUI Galway for 4 years, where she gained first class honours. Post qualification Eimear has worked as a junior physiotherapist in Guys and St Tomas NHS Trust in London where she gained experience in all NHS departments, in particular acute neuro rehabilitation, intensive care treatment, elective orthopaedics, and back stability, fracture clinic and gym based musculoskeletal rotations. Eimear's main interest is in musculoskeletal injuries and sports rehabilitation. She gained great experience during her time in London working alongside numerous teams- 4 seasons with various hurling and gaelic football teams, 3 years with Crystal Palace Academy teams and 2 seasons with the London Exiles Rugby club. Eimear is also qualified for acupuncture and biomechanical evaluation and sports. Eimear joined Naas Physiotherapy Clinic in May 2010.

Thomas O’ Connell ~ Chartered Physiotherapist
B.Sc(Hons)., M.I.S.C.P

Thomas graduated from UCD in 2002 with a BSc (hons) degrees in Physiotherapy. He has worked in Limerick Regional hospital and St. Vincents hospital in Dublin. His work there incorporated covering orthopaedic clinics and out-patients as well as being a clinical tutor for UCD for 3 years. He has also worked for 3 years in 2 private practices. His postgrad training is in foot biomechanics, manual therapies (NAGs and SNAGs) and he is currently completing a diploma in orthopaedic medicine in UCD. He is set to start a manual therapy masters in Perth in the next few months. Thomas is heavily involved in sports and has been pitch physiotherapist for Parkmore Rugby Club in Terenure,Dublin as well as Kilmacud Crokes senior/intermediate Football teams. His main interests are sports medicine and exercise therapy/functional rehabilitation. Tomas joined Naas physiotherapy in May 2010.

Jonathan Faulkner ~ Chartered Physiotherapist

Jonathan graduated with an honours degree from Brunel University in London in 2008. Since then he has been working in private practice mainly in the area of Sports Injury Rehabilitation. Jonathan has been physiotherapist to a number of GAA teams and with Leixlip United AFC. He is also working with the FAI and the Deaf Ireland Soccer Team in preparation for the Deaf Olympics in Tapei in August 2010. Jonathan joined Naas Physiotherapy Clinic in October 2009.

Louise O' Rourke ~ Chartered Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Louise graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Teesside with an honors degree in 2008 adding to her BA in Leisure Management from the Dublin Institute of Technology. She has attained qualifications in sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, fitness instruction and personal training. Louise has gained her experience working in the NHS completing a diverse range of rotations including musculoskeletal, respiratory and orthopaedics. She has operated her own sports massage clinic and has volunteered as a physiotherapist in South America working with children with neurological conditions. Louise has a keen interest in treating soft tissue dysfunction and myofascial pain. Louise endeavors to use her experience in the fitness industry and enthusiasm to aid her patients in achieving their goals. She continues to strive to obtain further knowledge to add to her professional development and to expand her skills as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Post graduate courses include DMA Clinical Pilates (APA), Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy Lumbar Spine (McKenzie Institute) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Physical Health.

Theresa Dillon ~ Massage Therapist

Theresa qualified in 2001 as a sports massage therepist. Since then has been doing massage for many local GAA clubs including Ellistown, Suncroft, Eadestown, and Suncroft. Theresa has worked with Kildare senior and U21 GAA teams and Longford GAA. She has also worked with Leinster rugby. Theresa has been a massage thereapist with Naas Physiotherapy Clinic since 2003.

Eadaoin Ponisi

Eadaoin is practising Pilates for 30 years. She is teaching full-time for the last eight years. Eadaoin's background is in Professional Dance and gymnastics. She has trained in the STOTT PILATES method and is currently our sole Reformer instructor. Eadaoin is also a Massage Therapist within the clinic.

Born and raised in Poland. Graduated from the University of Physical Education in 2002. She arrived in Ireland in the same year and has been working as a gym instructor and a personal trainer. She is also a swimming instructor. Completed Body Firm Pilates certification lead by Joyce Gavin and has been teaching Pilates in 2007. She is very passionate about her work and she wants to share her experience with her customers. She hopes to make a difference in their lives by creating a positive influence through positive concious movement.

Gillian Quinn
Pilates Instructor

Gillian started doing Pilates after her Husband injured his back playing professional football. His Physiotherapist recommended he start Pilates, he now says that doing Pilates saved his career and allowed him to continue playing Premier league football for several more years.

Gillian started training in the method eleven years ago and decided to become an instructor herself because she loved it so much and she has total belief in its benefits to everyone, not just to pro sportsmen.

Gillian began training with 'Body Control Pilates' in London. She then continued her training with 'Stott Pilates' in Ireland, completing all matwork training up to and including advanced mat. She has also completed the teacher training for all the equipment including Reformer, cadillac, barrels and chair. Gillian has also completed the injuries and special populations course to include pre and post natal training. She continues to do regular teacher training workshops in the UK and Ireland to keep up to date with the latest equipment and training techniques.
