Physiotherapy and Swine Flue Ireland

H1N1 VIRUS (Swine Flu)

Due to the recent outbreak of H1N1 Virus (Swine Flu), we have implemented a number of practice changes to safeguard our patients, staff and the public in general.

If you are experiencing flu like symptoms (or have in recent days) please inform reception or your Physiotherapists
We ask all patients to wash their hands with the alcohol wash provided at reception
Please use tissues provided for sneezing/coughing etc and dispose of in bin provided
We do not use cloth couch-cover any longer and instead the couches are wiped with Milton disinfectant between treatments and we will use disposable paper towels, which are changed following every treatment.
Physiotherapists will continue to wash their hands between all treatments as usual.
Counters/surfaces/door handles are wiped down regularly through out the day.
We have removed hand towels from bathrooms and ask that you use the dryer provided to dry your hands.
In the Gym, all equipment will be wiped down with disinfectant spray following use.
In the Pilates Studio each mat will be cleaned with disinfectant spray following each class.

If you feel there are any additional changes we could implement, please let us know.

Thank you
